Parental Involvement

Research has shown that students who have parents or guardians that are involved in their education tend to do better in school in a number of areas. They tend to have higher grades, positive attitudes, positive behavior, academic success, and long term academic achievement. There are many ways you can be involved in your child’s education. Some examples are; helping with or checking homework, encouraging reading at home, volunteering in your child’s school, showing interest in what your child is doing at school, and engageing meaningful conversation with your child.
